Kennedy Cantu has been playing musical instruments since the age of 9. He grew up in an environment listening to a wide variety of genres including being introduced to the music of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Buckley, Dave Mathews, Nora Jones as well as many Hawaiian Artists. The first album Kennedy remembers that made him say, “I want to do that some day!” was Lenny Kravitz’s “Greatest Hits.”
Since the age of 18, Kennedy has been able to explore his musical talents and has been able to meet and play with numerous great artists including Uncle Willie K, out of Hawaii, Steven Tyler, Alice Cooper, Michael McDonald, the Kalama Brothers, Brittni Paiva and many other top artists. He has performed on stages in Las Vegas, Hawaii and California. Kennedy has been on a spiritual, musical and life-long journey to share his talents with audiences around the world. His goal is to help the people through his music, if nothing more than to put a smile on their faces. Whether playing solo, with his band, or sharing the stage with music legends, Kennedy has music inside his soul and it comes pouring out once he begins to play! Kennedy lives in Maui currently.
